Should you be elected, what are three specific areas you’d like to change, address, improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it?: Since deciding to pursue this office, I have spent a great deal of time researching and preparing to expand my understanding of the office and the responsibilities of being a trustee.

Most importantly, my first priority is responsible stewardship of township finances. As a small business owner, I understand the value of being fiscally responsible. I have met with the Concord Fiscal Officer to learn about township finances, while discussing areas for improvement.

Based on my understanding of township finances, I see economic development my second priority. Concord is a growing community. I believe it is important this growth be managed responsibly. It is important to seek a balance between residential and business growth to support our growing community. As a member of the Concord Zoning commission I have a strong understanding of how Concord is growing and I am prepared to bring this experience to the office of Trustee.

As a new trustee I desire to bring new ideas to the trustee board. I am already discussing economic development with residents in the township, the JEDD Board, the current Trustee Board, Fiscal Officer and Township Administrator. As a Trustee, I will continue dialogue with resident, interested parties and boards to ensure growth is responsibly managed.

Finally, it is important to me that the residents of Concord Township have transparent and responsive government. I enjoy meeting my fellow Concord residents and hearing their opinions and concerns. I look forward to the opportunity to continue these conversations as a trustee. I am ready to educate myself on issues that arise which I do not see as a candidate today. I will seek methods to keep residents informed about the happenings of Concord government, listen and weigh resident feedback.

Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?: Concord residents deserve qualified and trustworthy leaders. I have the qualifications for the office of Trustee and I know how to be a leader for our community. As a resident of Concord for 21 years, and a 10-year member of the Concord Zoning Commission, I understand the responsibilities of a trustee and the needs of the township.

I am hard working and resourceful. At the age of 29 I stepped into the role of a small business owner, without any business education and little experience. I worked hard, took the time to obtain the business knowledge I needed. After two previous years of declining sales, I lead the company back to growth. I then acquired two business ultimately growing the company over 300%.

Being out in Concord talking to residents, I have already had the rewarding opportunity to assist residents with concerns in their neighborhood. I understand how important it is for a trustee to interact with residents and act as a liaison between the community and township. I care about Concord and I am committed to serving our community.
